Well while I was reading on CNET last night I found a link that had me in shock. I found out that my other hobby is OFFICIALLY GEEK!!!! You see I am a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism. In this hobby we recreate the better part of the Middle Ages.....Now how does this relate to this blog. Well.......The article I went to was for the 15 Geekiest Vacations, and my hobby came in No. 5!!! Which puts both my hobbies on the Geek list now. And here I thought I got away from my Geek side every now and then....guess I don't do I.

We are stopping by the Space center in Huntsville on the way back from FL in a couple of weeks. I suppose that counts as a partial geek vacation.
Yup...though for me it is family history. My dad was the lead for the design team on Skylab's airlock (McDonald Douglas's part of the project) and the lead for the sections that McDonald Douglas did for the Shuttle program as well. I had the Shuttle blueprints on my dinner table as a teenager. They were behind and he had to work over the weekend on them.
